Good morning, Aleteia readers! We’re here bright and early with a new set of links. And away we go!

Her Mom Passed Away More Than 2 Decades Ago, But She Just Received Letters From Her (Viralnova.com)

When she was 10, Amanda Lemmond lost her mother to bone cancer. She was placed in the foster system with nothing from her old life, until more than 2 decades later when the executor of her mother’s estate found a box of her mother’s keepsakes and passed them down to Amanda!

Lemmond thought her past had been forgotten. Then, a strange box arrived on the porch of her Colorado home. Inside were photos, her birth certificate, and, most incredibly, letters her mom had written just weeks before she died. While moving, the executor of her mother’s estate found the keepsakes and forwarded them along. Lemmond told NBC News: “After my mom passed away, I was shipped all over the country. From Washington States to Texas, to Louisiana, to Texas, back to Washington, back to Texas — in and out of state care — foster care. These are a glimpse into my past that I’ve sorely longed for, for over two decades now.”

Doctors Have No Explanation As To Why And How This 5-Year-Old Boy Attracts All Sorts Of Metals (Indiatimes.com)

After his Youtube video went viral, the boy is being called the Magneto, after the X-Men’s master of magnetism. Doctors have no idea why it happens, maybe the iron in his blood is galvanized? We don’t know we, we’re not scientists!

Just like X-Men’s Magneto, the kid can glue spoons and coins on his chest as well as his back, without any external support. “He can attract any type of small kitchenware. But I haven’t taken him to the hospital because he has no health issues.” says the father. The local newspaper reports that he can do the same trick with screws, metal ashtrays as well as mobile phones.

Cop Sees Lonely Dog Wandering Streets. But Then He Realizes He’s Leading Him Somewhere… – (Liftable.com)

Officer Jeff Gonzalez was making his rounds on his freezing Wisconsin beat when he saw a dog running up and down the street looking for someone, anyone. When Jeff finally reached the disturbed animal, the dog led the policeman to his owner who was in dire need of assistance.

He chose to let John Boy lead him down the street. Suddenly the reason for the poor animal’s anxious behavior became clear. Sitting in a chair in her pajamas on her porch was Krystal who was slumped over and unresponsive. The officer immediately took her inside the home, away from the 3 degrees weather she had been exposed to for nearly an hour. After getting her to the hospital, the medical professionals were able to revive and save her. Krystal’s daughter, Tianne, was notified of her mother’s situation and told reporters, “They thought that she was dead,” but added, “It was a miracle. My mom had two angels save her that day.”

***BONUS AWESOME***

This is the coolest thing we’ve ever seen and now we want one… and for it to be spring so we can use it!
