This Christmas season, while the rest of the world is in joyful preparation, Jerina Edwards is battling breast cancer. Recently, she was eating a meal at her favorite Chinese food spot, when she was surprised by the kindness of a stranger. When it came time to pay the bill she was told that another customer already paid for her meal and left a note.

Shocked by the warm gesture, Jerina took to Facebook to express her gratitude to the stranger. The note read: “I lost my wife to cancer five years ago. I know how tough it can be going through this. Your meal is on me. Merry Christmas.” Writing about the moment on Facebook, the mother-of-three said: “More than anything, having cancer has shown me that there are a lot of good people in this world. “It has been hard, I have fought, I have been sick, tears have been shed, I have missed out on things, I have lost my hair, and I will lose my breast, but I will live. I WILL LIVE.
So cheers to the kind stranger who is continuing his works of mercy even after the Jubilee has come to an end. We will keep Jerina in our prayers as she continues her brave fight against breast cancer.
