Ewan McGregor - Last Days in the Desert - 2015 McGregor plays both Jesus and the Devil who tempts him in the desert in this film. As Jesus he is empathetic and maintains an earnest regard for those he interacts with, even as his stance and gait suggest he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. When he plays the devil, who appears to Jesus wearing his own face, the perversion of the previously described warmth is quite chilling.
