The original land, only a few acres, was purchased for $500 in 1895, a gift from local businessmen. Eventually more land was added.
The largest building on the property is 64,000 square feet, and it is currently used for offices, gathering spaces, chapels, kitchen, dining room, storage and bedrooms.
Built in 1926, the building was renovated in 2002 for $3.5 million.
Chapel in the main building.
Recreation hall.
Dining area.
A look inside a foyer.
Much of the original detail and craftsmanship remains.
There are 39 bedrooms in the main building, all wired for phone and cable.
A standalone home on the property.
Readers like you contribute to Aleteia's Mission.

Since our inception in 2012, Aleteia’s readership has grown rapidly worldwide. Our team is committed to a mission of providing articles that enrich, inspire and inform a Catholic life. That's why we want our articles to be freely accessible to everyone, but we need your help to do that. Quality journalism has a cost (more than selling ads on Aleteia can cover). That's why readers like you make a major difference by donating as little as $3 a month.
