St. Thérèse of Lisieux, age 24
To make it easier to accept the faults of others, St. Thérèse of Lisieux suggests offering our frustrations to God. In the laundry room, once one of the sisters was sloshing the clothes about so enthusiastically that the dirty water splashed on St. Thérèse’s face. She recognized it as an opportunity to offer a sacrifice instead of complaining, and “I thought how foolish it was to refuse the treasures God offered me so generously.”
