On November 28, 2018, during the general audience, a fearless toddler escaped the care of his mother, going on stage to play with the costume of a Swiss Guard just a few meters from the pontiff. The child, who cannot hear or speak, was probably of fan of the feathers and stripes. This intrusion didn’t bother the Argentine pontiff, who exclaimed happily: "He is undisciplined, but he is free."
