SAINT SEBASTIAN: He is certainly one of the most famous Roman martyrs. An officer in Diocletian's army in the third century, he tried to hide that he was a Christian. Unfortunately, he was discovered. As he refused to renounce his faith, he was condemned by the emperor. He was bound to a tree and made to serve as a target for his own soldiers, who shot arrows all over his body.
