Aidan, celebrated August 31
This Irish saint who died in the 7th century was known for his miracle working. St. Aidan was pious at a young age, and during his long stay at St. David's monastery in Wales, he managed to fight off Saxon attacks in some miraculous form. On his return to Ireland he founded a monastery in Wexford, which attracted many due to Aidan's miracles. With a name meaning "fiery," maybe your own little Aidan will be a real character!
