Man of action
St. Joseph is practical and decisive. He has drive. He has to make difficult and important decisions, such as what to do in his relationship with the Blessed Virgin when he discovers that she’s going to give birth to a son (who will be the Son of God). He has to organize the trip to Bethlehem to register in the census just when Mary is expecting, and we can imagine that he had to set up and dismantle his carpenter's workshop wherever he went to support his family. His piety and his supernatural perspective are not at odds with his being a man of action.
