Humble
St. Joseph surely did what he could to prepare carefully for the birth of Jesus, but since it takes place in Bethlehem he has to accept that the Messiah was born in a manger because "there was no place for them at the inn" (Lk 2:7). He adapts and tries to do what’s best for the Son of God in this situation.
