Accepting his help
Marriages start off with both of you being totally self-sufficient, but pregnancy often calls for new sacrifices. You might find yourself relying on your husband in new ways. St. Paul wrote, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her” (Ephesians 5:25), so this new stage in your marriage means your husband is living more fully his vocation to lay down his life for you.
