Servant of God Julia Greeley (born sometime between 1833-1848, died 1918)
Born into slavery, Greeley became a cook and nanny once emancipated. At 47, she became a Catholic and had a particular devotion to the Eucharist and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She walked the pavement, despite agonizing arthritis, handing out information on the Sacred Heart League. She was known as Denver's "Angel of Charity" for her relentless charity work and dedication to the poor.
