6. The Strasburg Rail Road, Pennsylvania
The Strasburg Railroad was built in 1832 as a link between major steam-rail lines including Philadelphia and Columbia Railroads. Every December, this historic railway celebrates the holidays by offering enchanted rides featuring actors dressed in Victorian nightdress and cap reading extracts of the 1823 The Night Before Christmas. After the poem reading is done, passengers get served milk and cookies.
