Starting your day with a plan is important if you want to stay on task. Studies have shown that multi-tasking is not something humans are good at. So, at the start of your day (or even better, the night before) make a list of the things you want to accomplish today and number them in order of importance. Work on one task at a time. Cross each task off the list once it is completed. If something unexpected comes up, check to see where that new task should be placed on your list and slot it in accordingly. Be open to the unexpected but do your best to stick to the items on your list.
