They help reduce risk of allergy and asthma in children
When kids are exposed to various pet allergens early on in life they have 15 percent
less chance of developing asthma later on in their childhood -- the figure is even higher in children whose parents work on farms. Their immune system doesn't "over-react" when it comes across these allergens, giving them a heightened tolerance.
