Tabor -- Mount Tabor, Israel
Located in Lower Galilee, this is
where the transfiguration of Jesus took place - where Jesus, radiant in glory, speaks with Moses and Elijah and God refers to him as "son." On the peak of the mount is an impressive Catholic church built by Franciscans in 1924 that reflects the religious signification of the area. As a name, Tabor would be a very unusual choice but one of rich spiritual meaning.
