Hyssop
Psalm 51:9  Cleanse me with hyssop, that I may be pure ... This plant, belonging to the mint family and native to Southern Europe and the Middle East, was once used to cleanse the body in ancient Jewish rituals. Now the pretty herb is used to remedy many ills, as an effective expectorant and aid in easing respiratory problems. For any singers out there, drinking a cup of hyssop tea is reportedly good for relieving a sore throat.
