Give out chores
It can be a pain to insist on kids making their beds, emptying the dishwasher or tidying up their toys. Write up a schedule, and give each child certain chores they have to do for the family, and chores they need to do for themselves. From the youngest of ages children can help out, and it can be enjoyable with a bit of music to liven things up.
