Liturgical burials, or early eucharistic celebrations?

The halls of these catacombs contain well-preserved round tables made of limestone rock, set in a low platform with sloping sides that look like the classic triclinium (reclining couch) of most Roman houses. These tables were probably used for liturgical burials, and perhaps for the early eucharistic celebrations.
