Clairvaux Abbey, Burgundy

Founded by Saint Bernard in the 12th century, the Citeaux Abbey has been making Morillon Noir wine for the past 9 centuries. It has been estimated that during Saint Bernard’s lifetime some 600,000 liters of wine were shipped all over France in wooden caskets.
