St. Rafqa
Born in Lebanon, this 19th-century saint had to cope with family pressure to marry at 14. She bravely rejected all proposals. On hearing God's call, she fled to a convent to dedicate her life to Him. She wanted to suffer as Jesus had and so prayed to God. She became crippled and blind for the rest of her life.
