St. Marguerite Bourgeoys
With education off the table for many Afghan children, this French-born Canadian saint is the ideal person to pray to. Not only did she take the courageous step of moving to a world unknown to her, this religious sister cared for Indigenous people and Canadian colonists, founded an uncloistered women's religious order, and began schools. All this was at great risk to her life.
