Their heads were placed on spikes sticking up from London Bridge. The bridge has only been rebuilt twice in 800 years. The first stone bridge was ordered by Henry II in 1209, with a chapel in the middle as penance for the death of St. Thomas Becket. The 1825 version was moved stone by stone to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where it was rebuilt in 1967.
