Santa Maria a Cetrella, Anacapri
Also located in Anacapri, the tiny Church of St. Mary of Cetrella is located over one of Capri’s iconic cliffs. The chapel was originally used by Franciscan and Dominican monks looking for a contemplation spot on the island. The icon of Mary held inside the chapel is particularly dear to local fishermen and sailors, who pray for the Virgin’s protection for their seafaring endeavors.
