Sisters of St. Joseph the Worker
Founded in 1974 by Mother Ellen Curran, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph the Worker seeks both contemplative union with God and engaging in apostolic work to share the love of Christ. The community follows Vincentian spirituality through the practice of the virtues of simplicity, self-sacrifice and charity.
"We honor St. Joseph as our patron saint under the title of ‘the Worker’ who gave us the example of glorifying God by going about daily tasks in a quiet, humble and hidden way,” the sisters say on their
website. The Sisters run St. Joseph Academy in Walton, Kentucky, and Taylor Manor in Versailles, Kentucky.
