This scene, called “Forget-Me-Not Fairy,” is especially sad. The little girl was only given up to 12 months to live. “Even though she may be leaving [her adoptive family] soon,” said Forker, “She will never be forgotten.” The roses are a reference to her name, Ellis Rose.
