4:30 a.m. - Prayer

Pope Francis starts his day at 4:30, spending approximately 2 hours in silent prayer before the day's activities.

7:00 a.m. - Mass

At 7:00, Pope Francis celebrates a private Mass at the Santa Marta chapel for those who work in the Vatican.

8:00 a.m. to Noon - Morning meetings

After breakfast, Pope Francis' morning hours are spent meeting with individuals and responding to letters.

Lunch/Public Audience

At 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and noon on Sundays, Pope Francis holds a public audience where he addresses the crowds assembled in St. Peter's Square. During the rest of the week he has lunch at this time of the day.

2:00 to 3:00 p.m. - Naptime

Pope Francis takes a little siesta every day between 2 and 3, taking a break from the day's activities and recharging his energy.

3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The rest of the day is spent in additional meetings, praying the Rosary and celebrating Vespers.

10:00 p.m. - Bedtime

At 10:00 Pope Francis calls it a day and goes to bed, knowing that tomorrow will bring its own challenges.
