Mustard -- Matthew 13:31-32
Mustard has been used as a condiment since ancient times, but as a spice, it's used in ground form and added to different kinds of dishes, especially meats, salad dressings, and stews. The cultivation of mustard probably originated in China and Japan. Because of the tiny size of the mustard's seed, it is famously referenced in the New Testament, where it is compared to the Kingdom of God.
