Ilia Anderson sings Family of the Year’s hit song from the movie “Boyhood”The film, Boyhood, was nominated for numerous Academy Awards (and Patricia Arquette landed Best Supporting Actress for her role as the mother in movie). The lead song, "Hero," was also up for Best Song. (Common and John Legend’s "Glory" won.) Hero is a song by the four-member American indie rock group, Family of the Year. The song swept international charts and was a top 10 hit in Austria, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland. This version by a young Michigan musician named Ilia Anderson is lovely — and brings out the very best of the song.
