Saint Rafael Arnaiz Baron, a Trappist monk who was canonized in 2009 said, "We must put a smile in front of each cross, so that we might live the cross, but others only see the smile." It's not easy to carry our various crosses—and they are never the crosses we would choose for ourselves. But we cannot enter eternal life with the triune God by running away from suffering and refusing to carry the crosses He has allowed in our lives. This simple little video is a good illustration of that.
