Participants gather around themes of unity, peace, ecumenism, and prayers for the martyrsThe Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli, and Israeli singer, Noa, sang before 30,000 people on Friday, July 3, 2015, in the Plaza de San Pedro, for Pope Francis's meeting with the Renewal Movement. "Routes of unity and peace, voices of prayer for the martyrs of today, and for ecumenism" was the theme of the event, which included participants from various Christian movements. The intense summer heat in the Plaza de San Pedro did not diminish the joy and expectation of hearing the ecumenical prayer of the pope and his words for Christian unity.
