Women dressed in the traditional clothes of the Sorbs carry the statue of Virgin Mary during a procession in front of the church in Rosenthal, eastern Germany, Monday, June 5, 2017. On White Monday, Catholic Sorbs, a Slavic minority near the German-Polish border, celebrate an open air mass in the small village east of Dresden.

The Sorb community of Lusatia encompasses 85 towns in the districts of Bautzen, Kamenz, and Hoyerswerda, where the Catholic Faith, customs and tradition are thriving.

On Sundays people still wear traditional outfits richly decorated with embroidery, decorations, veils and pearls.
