ZONGO, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO: 81 year-old Italian nun Sister Maria Concetta assists a mother with her newborn baby in Zongo, in a small village in the Equatorial region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Sister Maria arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1959 and works as a midwife at Zongo hospital, which is run by the Congregation of the Daughters of Saint Joseph of Genoni, from Italy.
