They can really fill a stadium with “Wonder.”Hillsong United was originally started as part of the Hillsong Church youth group. There were 2 bands back in the 90s: Powerhouse (ages 18 – 25) and Wildlife (ages 12-17). In 1998, the two merged to form the one band Hillsong United and recorded their first live album, Everyday.

The band released 13 live albums since 1999, and began recording studio albums in 2007. All 5 albums have reached #1 on the US Christian Billboard list. Their 2013 album, Zion, features the hit “Oceans,” which was downloaded over 1 million times and stayed at #1 for 45 weeks.

“Wonder” is the title track from their 2017 album and features the vocals of Taya Smith, the singer of “Oceans.” She, JD, and Matt Crocker gave an interview to Hope 102.3, in which they talk about the inspirations for the songs of Wonder.
