Three-year-old Camden teaches us that disability does not mean you shirk your brotherly duties. One of the most beautiful things about being a parent to more than one is watching the sibling bond develop. Okay, there may be the odd bit of bickering, or rivalry, but overall the love they share for each other is what shines through. So when a recent viral video titled “Camden doesn’t let his limb difference stop him from being a great big brother” was posted on Admirably Diverse’s Facebook page, we weren’t prepared for the myriad of emotions that came with it.

Mom of Two Kids With Microencephaly Speaks Out
We don’t want to spoil it for you but be prepared for 3-year-old Camden bowling you over by demonstrating his love, determination, and strength in soothing 2-month old Jaxton.
Mom Katie Whiddon explains in her family blog how Camden was born with Amelia-Phocomelia Syndrome, meaning he had no legs and just the upper parts of his arms. Yet, this is not stopping him from embracing life and being your typical 3-year-old. As an older brother to 2-year old sister Ryleigh as well, he also enjoys “messing around with her” and is able to “draw, paint, sit up by himself, feed himself, wash his own face, brush his own teeth, climb up stairs, and so many other things.” There really is no stopping this young man!
Camden’s babysitting abilities are amazing, but how much do we admire mom Katie? Not only does she manage three kids under the age of 3 — a challenge for anyone! — but she does it with an attitude of cherishing all that is wonderful in her life. The family went with Camden to meet up and pray with evangelist Nick Vujicic, who, too, was born “without limbs and without limits.” Vujicic is a true inspiration to all and the perfect example to show Camden how to seize all the opportunities life has to offer — although we’re pretty sure Camden is doing a fine job all by himself!
