She was discovered by fellow Catholic artist Athenas.Verónica Sanfilippo was born in the city of Paraná, Entre Ríos – Argentina, 1995. She was raised in a Catholic family who instilled in her a strong faith and Christian values.

From a very young age, she was part of the Catholic Action Institution of Argentina, a group of lay Catholics who encourage a Catholic influence on society. In her time there, she continued to form and grow throughout her adolescence. You can follow her here on Facebook.

Sanfilippo started down the path of music in school. As she tells it:

“More than anything by singing at school Masses. At the beginning I did it merely to be heard singing, and people would congratulate me after the Mass. But on one occasion a teacher told me something that left an impression on me and after a time of prayer and discernment I discovered that God gave me this gift to be his instrument. So, I put myself in the Lord’s service and that’s when I made music an apostolate. I understood that God wanted to use me as an instrument to bring this gift to the service of His glory and praise.”

Thus, at the age of 16, she and her boyfriend (Augusto Weiss) began a music ministry that would offer to perform at Masses, retreats and adoration. They began in their parish, Santa Teresita, Paraná – Entre Ríos, and over time they became quite popular and were invited to play in other parishes of the diocese.

She was a singer for several local Catholic bands, and participated in religious ceremonies, but she never thought that at 22 years of age she would be on the cusp of a promising musical career.

It was the Catholic artist Athenas Venica who discovered her and reached out to her along with with musical producer Jonatan Narváez. Together they have recorded her first 3 songs, which have led her to an expansion of her apostolate.
