Their high-end videos always stay true to the source material.Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser are both classically trained cellists, who came together to form the band 2Cellos. In 2011, they released a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” that went viral and earned them a record contract with Sony Masterworks.

The duo has recorded four albums since 2011, with tracks consisting of well-known pop and rock songs as well as famous film scores. This rendition of the theme from Schindler’s List was released on their 2017 album, Score.

Their music videos always try to catch the spirit of the referenced work. In this video, they kept it black-and-white as Schindler’s List was. Out of respect for the material, they kept their cinematic antics to a minimum. In other videos they can be seen in high-budget costumes, as in their cover of the theme from Gladiator.

The energy they bring to their performances is fun to watch. They like to have fun with their music, while staying true to the musical themes. Elton John has spoken about what a great act they have:

“…Go and see them live, because it really is astonishing! I can’t remember seeing anything as exciting as them since I saw Jimi Hendrix live back in the 60s…”
