On December 20 the Dominican nuns at the Monastery of Our Lady of the Rosary in Summit, New Jersey, broke ground for a new wing to accommodate the ever increasing numbers of people coming to the monastery. In addition to new guest rooms and a dining hall, the expansion adds much-needed handicapped access for the disabled and elderly who have struggled in the past when arriving for Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament or to pray the Office of Readings and Mid-afternoon Prayer with the Dominican community. Bishop Tobin of the Archdiocese of Newark presided over the groundbreaking.
