if you’re looking for beautiful art for your child’s room, these would be great choices. Children’s books can be a surprising source of beautiful, original artwork. Because the stories are so imaginative, the illustrations have a lot of creative ideas to explore, and frequently the results go well beyond kitschy cartoons achieving what can only be called fine art.

The illustrations highlighted here are stunning on their own merits and could even survive independently of the books in which we find them. Some of these images would make good works of art to frame and hang on the walls of a child’s room. After all, kids deserve beautiful things, too.
