A campus-wide Nativity-making competition is just one example of the many creative ways that these Catholic colleges lived out the Advent season.  It’s still Advent! Catholic colleges recommended in The Newman Guide didn’t miss the chance to prepare students spiritually before sending them home for Christmas break.

At the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D., students couldn’t enter the student activities hub without walking underneath a massive Advent wreath.

And Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, placed a Nativity scene outside its Christ the King Chapel, in addition to the University’s nearly life-size year-round Nativity scene.

If you happen to live near one of the Catholic colleges featured in the slideshow, it’s worth making a trip to see the campus in person. But if you don’t, these photos are the next best thing!
