The actor Chris Pratt recently invited people to help “Feed Thy Neighbor.” In a recent post shared on Facebook, a slightly battered Pratt shared some alarming statistics:

1 in 4 American Children may not know where their next meal is coming from. 25% of our kids!!! Let that sink in. The need is real. People are in pain. Right now I’m matching your donations up to $100k.”

Yet the Guardians of the Galaxy star is not just donating money himself, he’s also offering a little extra incentive. The Hollywood star is giving a handful of donors an opportunity to meet with him on a Zoom call and be mentioned on his New Year’s Eve celebrity Instagrammathon. (All details are available on the dedicated website.)

As Pratt shared, every single dollar will help those families in need. So far nearly $200,000 has been raised to help the hungry, which equates to an impressive 1 million meals.

The vocally Christian celebrity leans on Scripture to highlight the cause:

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:18

Pratt’s campaign is particularly poignant during the Christmas season when so many of us can enjoy a beautiful family meal. So in a bid to help keep America’s kids fed, join Pratt in his campaign, which ends on December 29 at 5 p.m. PST.
