Francis says he’s praying that every family may feel that the Holy Family is present in their homes.Pope Francis is asking for creativity in finding ways to place the family at the center of both the Church’s and society’s attention.

The pope made this call as he reiterated the news that a special Amoris Laetitia Year of the Family will begin on March 19, the solemnity of St. Joseph.

The Holy Father described the year as “a special year to grow in family love,” as he mentioned it at the end of the Angelus address of March 14.

“I call for a renewed and creative pastoral drive to place the family at the centre of the attention of both Church and society,” he said.

“I pray that every family may feel in its own home the living presence of the Holy Family of Nazareth, that it may fill our small domestic communities with sincere and generous love, a source of joy even in trials and difficulties.”
