Jennifer Garner recently posted a video on Instagram of herself exercising with her mother, Patricia -- and it's enough to put a smile on anybody's face, even those averse to getting fit!

The mother-daughter duo decided to do the 83-year-old's work-out, which is definitely a little on the gentle side. However, considering Patricia only took up exercise at the tender age of 80, her efforts are admirable.

While the octogenarian seemed very concerned about completing her exercise objectives for the day on her fitness tracker, what really stands out in the video is the beautiful mother-daughter bond.

Although Garner makes the occasional cheeky glance to the camera as she tries out her mom's routine, she's also quick to encourage her mom's efforts. As Patricia shared with her daughter, keeping fit wasn't ever her priority: "You know, I would make straight A’s in college and a C in my one hour of phys-ed."

"Well, I bet you’re in a lot better shape than the people you went to college with, mom," Garner said to motivate her elderly mom. Quick as a flash Patricia quipped, "Yeah. Probably mostly dead."

Patricia also revealed how she does her routine with a little entertainment when she's at home. However, it's not with the usual upbeat music, but with HGTV. She really is a multi-tasker!

While the video makes for some cute viewing, it's lovely to see a Hollywood star devoting time to her mom in such a positive way. Looking at the joy on Patricia's face as she completes her objectives for the 221st day in a row, it's a reminder to cherish our elderly parents while we still have them with us. We can protect them and be by their side, while also remembering that there's no age limit when it comes to fulfilling a challenge, whether that's a gentle exercise routine, or learning something new.
