Prayer that the Key of David will free us from the prison of darkness

Jesus is often called the "Key of David," and while this cryptic name is full of biblical symbolism, it also is connected to our own spiritual slavery.

Dom Prosper Gueranger composed a prayer in his Liturgical Year that highlights this symbolism and asks Jesus to free us from the prisons of darkness we are in.
