Sometimes we will attend Mass and don't feel a strong desire to receive Jesus in Holy Communion. Approaching the altar for communion can feel like going through the motions.
It's at those times that we can pray to God and ask him to increase that desire, expressing that feelings that we want to feel in our hearts.
