The footage shows the friars letting themselves be carried away by childlike and carefree emotions.

Snow fell recently in Italy, paralyzing many towns and cities. Schools had to close in some towns, and an avalanche alert was issued in Veneto.

A video is circulating on the internet in which joyful and enthusiastic Franciscans participate in a snowball fight, make angels in the snow, and call the white fluff “Sister Snow.” The footage shows the friars letting themselves be carried away by childlike and carefree emotions.

"Dear brothers and sisters,” says Fr. Rafael at the start of the video, “you see that Sister Snow has arrived here in Assisi, and this city has become very beautiful. It’s just right for … snowballs! Let’s go!”  After which he presents a sizable snowball, which he is about to aim at one of his confreres.

All that's left for us to do is to be inspired and follow their example!
