Pushpay is teaming with churches to solve logistical issues, ease donations and payments, and track faith formation.

Catholic churches around the US may soon be taking donations digitally with Pushpay, a leading payments and engagement solutions provider for mission-driven organizations. The Pushpay system not only helps a parish better keep track of donations and payments, but it could soon help churches keep track of faith formation with a service called “SacramentTracker.”

The Pushpay website promises easier “on-the-go parish management” that’s use is beneficial to both parishioners and pastors. Designed with inclusivity in mind, the multi-language software intends to make communication through a parish easier and faster.

While there are features that pastors and administrators would find convenient, parishioners would interact most with the MyChurch app, which only requires that they create a profile. From there, the app would allow users to view messages or connect with different ministries.

Pushpay recently signed on as a sponsor for the National Eucharistic Congress, where it will promote the new system as a solution to many logistical problems faced by the overburdened clergy. In a press release, Pushpay called the Congress, the first to be held in the US in 83 years, “a pivotal moment in the legacy of the Catholic Church,” during which the company hopes to be of service.

Molly Matthews, Pushpay CEO, commented:

“It’s an honor to work alongside the National Eucharistic Congress at this pivotal moment in history to renew the Church and support their mission of personal revival. At Pushpay, we believe connection is a critical part of discipleship, which is why we are dedicated to creating innovative solutions to help leaders better know their parishioners and grow their church.”

The press release went on to explain that its involvement in the National Eucharistic Congress is a reflection of Pushpay’s “continuing commitment and investment in the Catholic Church.”

To this end, Pushpay has initiated an interesting service, the SacramentTracker

The idea is that children in faith formation through religious education and adults working through OCIA (formerly RCIA) would find their sacramental preparations streamlined with the SacramentTracker

Money contest

In addition, Pushpay is running a contest that would award $10,000 to a US parish. Parishes entered into the contest would explain what they would do with the award money, and the parish with the best vision for how the funds would improve Sunday services will take the cake. Learn more about how to enter your parish into the contest at the Pushpay website.

Look for Pushpay at the National Eucharistic Congress, where they will be running booth #660, as well as hosting talks with a variety of Catholic thinkers. They welcome discussion on faith, technology, and current events related to the Church. A full schedule of their speaker’s presentations is available at the booth.
