There is such a thing as getting “drunk on God.”
Physical inebriation is bad, no doubt. But spiritual intoxication is good. Very good. The disciples experienced it at Pentecost.

Fr. Jordan attended Providence College, where he majored in English and minored in Political Science. He went on for an M.A. at the University of Virginia and a doctorate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, both in English literature. After completing studies at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC, he served as an assistant chaplain at Providence College before going on to teach in the English department.
