John Burger

John Burger has been a writer for Aleteia's English edition since 2013. He is the author of "At the Foot of the Cross: Lessons from Ukraine," a book-length interview with the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. John's 30-year career in the Catholic press includes work at the National Catholic Register and Catholic New York, as well as freelance writing for many periodicals and websites. He has a bachelor's degree in English from Iona University in New Rochelle, NY, and a master's degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Prior to his career as a Catholic journalist, he taught English in China and France.
