Details:

Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, will be joined by actor, producer and committed Catholic Mark Wahlberg and other presenters to host (re)ENCOUNTER, a young adult faith night, on Friday, October 20 at 6:30 p.m. at UIC Pavilion. The event will gather thousands of young adults – Catholic and non-Catholic – for a night of thought-provoking speakers, live music and faith-focused discussions.

“This opportunity for young people to celebrate and discuss their faith is particularly timely,” said Cardinal Cupich. “The Church and the world need their energy, honesty and commitment to community more than ever as we face increased pressures undermining our national unity and daunting global challenges.”

This is the first year the Archdiocese has hosted (re)ENCOUNTER. The event will include prayerful worship, presentations from Cardinal Cupich; Wahlberg; Sr. Bethany Madonna, Vocations Director, Sisters of Life; and Fr. Paul Mueller, SJ, Vice Director, Vatican Observatory; as well as music from Joe Melendrez.
